New York City: A Black and White Photo Diary

Last week I took a mini trip to Connecticut and New York and it was...well it was a welcome change. You could not ask for a bigger contrast to Grenada than New York City, its fast paced, its crowded, its loud and there is a lot happening at any given time within a 10 foot radius of you.

While I certainly enjoyed the experience of so much sensory stimulation at once, and being in such a dynamic place, I completely understood why people from the busy metropolis go on Caribbean vacations.

Here are a few images from my trip to NYC.

Grand Central Station
Chelsea Market in the Village
I thoroughly enjoyed this place, my favourite was the space with the booths where local artists and jewellery makers sold their unique creations. I bought some beautiful paintings and a dainty chain with the OM symbol

What would this photo diary be without the New York City Cab. I actually took a cab and I did have an interesting driver who is originally from India and says he loves that New York City Stress...but he himself never actually feels stress.
Wise Street Art observed from the NYC Highline " Love is the Answer"
A tiny bit of NYC Skyline from the Highline
The Famous Milk Studios
I had to make it to Strawberry Fields in Central Park to see the Imagine Sign. This part of the park is a homage to the late John Lennon
Got off the train which claimed to stop at 42nd Street but somehow ended up at 40th Street. I always wanted to see the New York Times Building so this little mix up was welcome. Also, next to The New York Times is a really trendy place called Dean and Deluca where I had a yummy avocado roll and the best Chai Tea ever!
The Majestic just off Time Square
